Whiletheprimarypurposeofthisroleisnewinstallations(construction),thepositionalsosupportsrepairactivitiesonexistingaccesscontrolpoint(ACP) equipmentthroughoutthe

United

States.

The Traveling Field Electricianwillprovideelectricalsupportfortheinstallationandrepairof ACPequipment,toincludevehiclebarriersandassociatedsafetysystems,site-builtandpre-fabricatedguardbooths,andclosed-circuit television(CCTV) systemsportablemessageboardsandgeneratorslightcarts,andrelatedequipmentatcommercial,governmentandmilitarysites.

Theidealcandidatewillhaveexperiencewithelectricalsystems,lowvoltagecontrols,variablefrequencydrives,electro-mechanicaldrivesystems,andhydraulicdrivesystems,especiallythoserelatedtovehiclebarriersandACPequipment.

• Install,terminate,andtestdistributionpanels,disconnects,conduit,wire,andotherequipmentforACPsystems.

• Install,assess,troubleshoot,andrepairACPequipmentandCCTVsystems.

• Coordinatecloselywith Site Superintendent ,Project Managers,Clientrepresentativesandotherpersonneltosafelyconductinstallations,maintenanceandserviceactionswhileminimizingoperationalimpacts.

• InstallandexecuterepairsonACPequipmentusingchecklists,drawingsandspecifications,manufacturer’sguidance,andtechnicalexpertise.

• Providedailyreportsonequipmentcondition,services performed,andadditionalworkneeded.

• Develop material/equipmentlistsandlaborestimatesfornewinstallationsandtocorrectdeficiencies.

• Draftandorganizeelectronicdocumentationfollowingeachinstallationorrepairvisit,includingcompilingreceipts,reviewingcompletedchecklists,obtaining
  
  Clientapprovalsignature(s),composingtechnicianreports,andotherclose-out documents.
• Operateinasafemannerandcoordinatemaintenanceofaservicevehicle.

• Experienceasa Field Service Technicianor Electricianonindustrialsystems ,motors,anddrives.
