The Role

As a service technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and reliable door solutions to our customers. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade a variety of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
  • Working with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
  • Maintaining professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
  • Participating in training programs and maintaining AAADM certification.
  • Participating in on-call rotations after certification and training.
  • Performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds (with lifting aids) on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation; climbing ladders, kneeling, driving, and working in various positions as required.

What you will need:

  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus).
  • Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.

Requirements:

  • Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21 due to job-related responsibilities.
  • Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within one (1) year of employment and maintain certification as required.
