Delivery & Service Technician

We're looking for a Delivery & Service Technician to join our expanding team and play a key role in the delivery, installation, troubleshooting, and support of premium lighting, lighting control, and motorized shade systems.

You'll work directly with customers, assist with installations, troubleshoot products in the field, and help ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.

What You'll Do As a Delivery & Service Technician, you'll combine technical expertise, customer service, and problem-solving skills to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently deliver products and equipment to customer locations.
  • Ensure accurate, timely deliveries while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Troubleshoot previously installed products and systems, identifying and resolving issues in the field.
  • Perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on lighting and control systems.
  • Conduct minor electrical repairs, including replacing decorative fixtures, LED drivers, and similar components while following safety standards.
  • Assist with the installation, setup, and basic configuration of motorized shade systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers on-site and in-house.
  • Educate customers on proper product operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Maintain detailed service records, including equipment condition, repairs completed, parts used, and labor performed.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, replacement parts, and service equipment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain company vehicles and ensure the security of tools, equipment, and deliveries.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current on emerging technologies, products, and industry trends.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service.

What We're Looking For Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical work in a variety of environments and weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Service Technician, Delivery Driver, Field Technician, Electrical Technician, or similar role.
  • White-glove delivery experience.
  • Technical certifications or vocational training in Electrical Technology or a related field.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing electronic or mechanical systems.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, dimming systems, lighting controls, or residential construction.
  • Experience performing minor electrical work, such as fixture replacements and basic troubleshooting.
  • Willingness to learn motorized shade installation, setup, and troubleshooting.
