Diver

GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

The Diver will be responsible for assembling underwater projects such as diffusers for power plants and installing pipes or intakes for water plants. The Diver will perform underwater inspections, supervise dives, and may be required to perform laborer‑related tasks. The Diver is expected to work on deck while not diving.

• Dive for the purpose of building the project, inland dives only.
• Implement projects for diffusers, intakes, towers, and inspections all under water.
• Supervise the dives to ensure safety when diving.
• Lifts, carries, and holds building materials, tools, and supplies.
• Cleans tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Use pneumatic and electric tools, concrete vibrator, pipeline top man, riggers, and manhole builder.
• Underwater burning/cutting experience required.
• Additional duties may require in‑person or online training for safety, quality, or other functions related to the job.

• Must be a Certified Diver – Surface Supplied Air Card
• Certified by ADCI
• Have previous diving experience
• Must be able to travel
