Securitas Technology seeks a Security Technician to install, program, and service integrated electronic security and life safety systems for commercial and enterprise clients. You will work with video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and monitoring technologies, performing site surveys, system startup, troubleshooting, and repairs. In this field-based role, you'll partner with engineers and project managers, follow strict safety and quality standards, document work, and support customers on operation and maintenance of their systems while growing your technical skills in a global, innovation-driven organization.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and test electronic security systems including video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection at client sites
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on security and life safety systems to ensure optimal performance and code compliance
  • Conduct site surveys, read and interpret technical drawings, and assist with system design and equipment placement
  • Program control panels, IP cameras, networked devices, and integrated security platforms according to project specifications
  • Complete accurate documentation, service reports, and updates in work order and ticketing systems
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and sales teams to deliver solutions that meet customer security and operational needs
  • Train end users on system operation, basic maintenance, and best practices for security and safety
  • Adhere to safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations while working on ladders, lifts, and construction sites
  • Provide on-call or after-hours support as needed to respond to critical service issues and alarms
  • Maintain tools, test equipment, inventory, and company vehicle in good working order
