General Maintenance Technician

The American National Red Cross seeks a General Maintenance Technician II to support safe, reliable operation of our mission-critical facilities. In this hands-on role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs. You will respond to work orders and urgent issues, conduct routine inspections, and help ensure code and safety compliance.

Working on-site at Red Cross locations, you will directly support disaster response, blood collection, and training operations while contributing to a compassionate, mission-driven environment. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
• Respond to work orders and urgent maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and inspection results.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and Red Cross standards.
