Utility Line Locator

Utili Quest, LLC is seeking an Experienced Utility Line Locator to perform accurate locating of underground utilities for telecommunications, energy, and utility providers. In this field-based role, you will use advanced locating equipment, digital mapping, and standardized procedures to mark buried facilities, prevent damage, and ensure public and worker safety. You'll interpret utility maps, document findings, interact professionally with customers and contractors, and work independently outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Use advanced locating equipment to identify and mark underground utilities
• Interpret utility maps, records, and schematics to determine facility locations
• Document locate work accurately using digital tools and reports
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and supervisors
• Follow all safety protocols and damage prevention regulations
• Work independently in the field in varying weather and site conditions
• Maintain equipment and vehicle in safe, working condition
• Report conflicts, discrepancies, or potential hazards promptly
• Support damage investigations and resolution when required
• Participate in ongoing safety and technical training programs
