Plant Operator

As a Plant Operator at Marriott International, Inc., you will ensure safe, efficient operation of hotel mechanical systems supporting a world-class guest experience. Working within the Facilities & Maintenance department, you will monitor, operate, and maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC, water treatment, and related building systems. You'll perform inspections, troubleshoot equipment issues, respond to work orders, and support preventive maintenance programs. Collaborating with a diverse team, you'll uphold safety, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance while contributing to Marriott's people-first, service-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boilers, chillers, HVAC, and other mechanical systems
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of plant equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues
• Respond to maintenance work orders and building system alarms
• Maintain logs, records, and documentation for regulatory compliance
• Support energy management and efficiency initiatives
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and environmental regulations
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs
• Collaborate with facilities, housekeeping, and front-of-house teams to minimize downtime
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response as needed
