- Install, configure, service, troubleshoot, and repair low-voltage systems, including Fire Alarms, Access Control Systems, CCTV, Nurse Calls, and Intercom systems
- Program, start up, troubleshoot, and commission new system installations
- Perform basic point-to-point troubleshooting on low-voltage systems
- Communicate project status, challenges, and completion dates with the project lead and client
- Assist with installation projects under direction
- Identify installation or system issues for the project lead
- Review contract and design documents for accuracy before system installation
- Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed and operating according to code
- Complete detailed project reports
- Respond to emergency service calls
- Work varying shifts and a rotating on-call schedule as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Tennessee Alarm System Contractor License (must pass state requirements to obtain, including drug screen, background check and fingerprinting)
- College graduates with a related degree or equivalent college coursework, preferred
- NICET Certification, optional
- 1 year of industry related experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of low voltage systems, including Fire Alarms, Access Control Systems, CCTV, Nurse Calls, and Intercom systems
- Technical and computer skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to climb ladders, walk frequently, stoop, crawl, push, balance, lift more than 75 lbs., and operate heavy equipment
- Ability to work in confined areas, stockrooms, closets, and areas above and below ground level
- Ability to travel with a crew and ride a company-provided vehicle
- Prompt, regular in-person attendance and availability to work on-site during regular business hours and as needed
Demonstrates expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems, including Fire Alarms and Access Control Systems, while ensuring compliance with safety codes and effective communication with project leads and clients.
