At That One Inspector
, we’re not your average home inspection company, and we’re not looking for your average inspector.

As a home inspector, your job is to be the eyes and ears for home buyers, agents, homeowners, and investors. You’ll inspect houses (big, small, weird, and wonderful), check out everything from the roof to the crawlspace, and report on what’s working great, and what needs a little TLC.

You don’t need to swing a hammer or tear out drywall. Your job is to observe, photograph, document, and clearly explain what you see. Think of yourself as a house detective, helping people make informed decisions before they take the big leap.

We keep it professional, but we also like to have fun. No sitting in a cubicle all day, just honest, thorough, quality inspections delivered with clarity and a little personality. If you re someone who loves homes, pays attention to details, and enjoys talking to people without putting them to sleep, we re looking for you!

So, are you That One Inspector we’re looking for?

Requirements
  • Solid communication skills, written, spoken, and everything in between.
  • Reliable transportation, you’ll be zipping around Middle Tennessee (and showing up on time matters).
  • Must live in Middle Tennessee, this is on site work so you have to be here, local knowledge helps, and so does beating Nashville traffic.
  • Attention to detail, small things matter in this job. A lot.
  • Comfortable with tech, software, and photos are a big part of the job.
  • A good attitude, because no one wants a grumpy inspector.
  • BIG Bonus points if you’re already licensed in Tennessee, but if not, we can help the right person get there.
  • These two are non-negotiable as they state requirements, must possess or be able to obtain a TN State Home Inspection License

This involves two main things.

  • Obtain the necessary amount of education hours. This can be done in a couple of ways and we can help.
  • Pass the National Home Inspector Exam. This test is harder, but we have study guides and materials again to help.

Not required but a good general familiarity with home systems is definitively a big plus.
