Safe Industries is looking for an experienced diesel mechanic to work on-site at our Nashville Service shop and off-site in the Nashville area. Work environment includes indoor service shop located in Nashville, TN and outdoors off-site for customer repairs.

Key Responsibilities- Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services
- Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
- Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
- Complete required paperwork utilizing with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
- Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards
- Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed
- Experience in large vehicle servicing and repairs
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. 10% of the day
- Must have and be able to maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to receive and maintain a Certified Medical Examiner’s Health Card (DOT)
- Diesel mechanic experience
- Have or can obtain a Commercial Driver’s License
- Experience with Department of Transportation compliance activities
