- Install, commission, diagnose, repair, and start‑up HVAC systems using knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, air distribution, controls and mechanical layouts.
- Plan, analyze, and complete assigned projects and activities on time.
- Use a variety of hand tools and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to mount, hang, fit, and install equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal contracting processes.
- Perform site surveys, replacements, modifications and start‑ups as needed or requested by customers.
- Prepare for on‑site installation by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating with other trades.
- Maintain assigned stock of inventory, company equipment, and document related activities.
- Record parts, material, labor, and other cost data per assignment and return unused resources.
- Provide training and follow‑up training at customer sites.
- Provide sales leads to appropriate personnel.
- Document work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration; and maintaining files.
- Submit all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support to customers on assigned projects.
- Represent the company as the direct customer contact and service products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at the customer location.
- Keep current on Trane products concerning installation of direct digital control systems.
- Inspect, maintain, and record vehicle and equipment conditions.
- Maintain tools and equipment by inspecting for wear and ensuring safety to the highest standards.
- Travel regularly with occasional overnight stays.
- Display team effort and dedication by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weeks as business requires.
