Plumbing Technician

A Plumbing Technician is a skilled worker who is experienced at working with plumbing systems in acute care facilities and/or commercial and industrial settings. Plumbing Technician responsibilities and duties include installing new plumbing systems and components as well as maintaining, operating and repairing existing systems. A Plumbing Technician is highly skilled regarding plumbing equipment, lock-out/tag-out processes and common plumbing systems in the hospital environment including but not limited to domestic water, vent, sewer, steam and medical gas systems.

The plumbing technician should be knowledgeable in maintaining core systems to regulatory compliance standards. All technicians should be willing to assist facility management operations in other non-plumbing maintenance activities as assigned.

• High school diploma / GED
• Journeyman plumber preferred
• 3 - 5 years relevant experience preferred
