This role involves supporting an interior renovation construction project within an active hospital environment. You will carry out a range of carpentry and construction tasks, focusing on framing, blocking, temporary structures, and the installation of specialty fixtures, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in a sensitive healthcare setting.

• Perform carpentry work on an interior renovation project within an active hospital.
• Install wall blocking to support fixtures and equipment.
• Hang and install specialties such as soap dispensers, televisions, and other fixtures, accessories, and equipment.
• Build and install temporary barriers and handrails as required for the project.
• Break down and remove temporary barriers and handrails once they are no longer needed.
• Carry out day-to-day cleaning duties, including taking out rubbish, sweeping, and keeping work areas clean to hospital standards.
• Follow all applicable health and safety regulations and site rules, including OSHA requirements.
• Use hand and power tools to complete framing, blocking, finishing, and installation tasks.
• Work collaboratively with the site team to ensure the project progresses smoothly in an active hospital setting.

• Proven carpentry experience in a construction environment.
• Experience working on commercial job sites.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and safe work practices.
• Ability to use hand and power tools for frame carpentry, blocking, finishing, and installing specialty fixtures.
• Experience with hospital construction or similar sensitive, active environments.
• Competence in framing and blocking work.
• Ability to build and work with temporary structures such as barriers and handrails.

• Experience working on projects within an active hospital is highly desirable.
• Experience with framing and blocking in healthcare or commercial settings is ideal.
• Ability to work professionally and respectfully around hospital staff and patients.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, orderly work areas.

This position is based on an interior renovation project within an active hospital. You will work on site from Monday to Friday, typically from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The environment requires a professional, clean-cut appearance and behaviour, as you will be working in and around hospital staff and potentially near patients. You will use a range of hand and power carpentry tools and are expected to bring your own set of tools, including screwdrivers, drills, and other essential carpentry equipment.

The workspace must be kept clean and orderly to hospital standards, and all activities must comply with strict health and safety and infection control requirements typical of a healthcare facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
