We are seeking a skilled Shop Trailer Mechanic for a permanent, full-time role based in Nashville. This position is strictly shop-based, meaning you will not be required to handle emergency roadside service calls.
Core Responsibilities- Conduct official DOT-certified inspections
- Execute routine preventive maintenance checks
- Identify and resolve issues within trailer systems and equipment
- Restore functionality to liftgates, brake chambers, body panels, and structural frames
- Execute essential welding and metal fabrication tasks
- Utilize specialized diagnostic gear, lifts, jacks, and standard hand tools
- Support lead technicians to ensure complex repairs are completed efficiently
- Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in heavy-duty or trailer maintenance
- Must possess your own set of essential hand tools
- Background in metal fabrication and welding is highly desirable
- Strong aptitude for troubleshooting mechanical failures
- Physical capability to stand, climb, bend, and lift throughout your daily shift
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred
- Hourly rate ranging from $20 to $24, based on your professional background
- Standard Monday through Friday work week
- Full eight-hour shifts
