You will be responsible for ensuring our equipment operates safely and reliably, providing expert guidance to customers and serving as the essential link between our technical capabilities and field operations.
Your Impact
- Leading
the installation, testing, and commissioning of switch gear equipment to ensure seamless, safe energization. - Diagnosing
complex mechanical and electrical faults, providing rapid technical solutions to keep critical infrastructure running. - Performing
rigorous maintenance and inspections to identify potential failures before they occur, ensuring long-term equipment reliability. - Collaborating
with customers, contractors, and site managers to deliver professional, clear technical recommendations and service reports. - Fostering
a culture of safety by enforcing strict electrical safety protocols, risk assessments, and site‑specific procedures during every assignment. - Developing
site operations by mentoring team members and identifying service opportunities that add value for our customers.
Special Role Requirements
- Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments.
- Willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
- Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
You should be a safety‑conscious, hands‑on engineering professional with a strong technical background and a commitment to operational excellence.
- The ability to
work independently on‑site, making sound technical decisions while managing project timelines and customer expectations. - The capability to
interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and single‑line diagrams to troubleshoot and repair high‑voltage systems. - An understanding of
high‑voltage electrical safety and isolation procedures, with a focus on maintaining a zero‑harm environment. - An expertise in
medium‑or high‑voltage switch gear, including circuit breakers and associated control systems. - A keen interest in
continuous learning and maintaining technical competencies in an evolving energy landscape.
A formal qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience is nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
