Position Summary

The Transitional Living Center Manager provides leadership and day-to-day oversight of the Transitional Living Center (TLC), ensuring a safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed environment foryoung adults experiencing homelessness. This position supervises TLC staff, oversees program operations and facility management, provides direct case management to residents, and is accountable for program outcomes. The Manager builds strong relationships with community partners to connect residents with housing, healthcare, employment, education, and other supportive services while fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and empowerment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Transitional Living Center to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensure the program operates in accordance with organizational policies, grant requirements, licensing standards, and best practices.
  • Monitor program performance and outcomes, using data to identify trends and improve services.
  • Collaborate with leadership on program development, quality improvement initiatives, and strategic planning.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and respond to emergencies or critical incidents as needed.
Staff Supervision
  • Hire, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate TLC Advocates and Resource Navigators.
  • Develop staff schedules to ensure adequate program coverage.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings, individual supervision, and ongoing professional development.
  • Promote a collaborative, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+ affirming team culture.
  • Provide guidance during resident crises, behavioral incidents, and conflict resolution.
Resident Services & Case Management
  • Maintain a caseload of residents and provide strengths-based, trauma-informed case management.
  • Partner with residents to develop individualized service plans focused on housing stability, education, employment, health, and life skills.
  • Conduct regular case reviews and document resident progress in accordance with agency standards.
  • Support residents in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
  • Coordinate successful transitions into permanent housing and ensure appropriate follow-up and documentation.
Facility & Operations Management
  • Ensure the facility is safe, clean, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and vendor services.
  • Oversee inventory of program supplies, furnishings, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and emergency preparedness procedures.
  • Collaborate with operations staff to address facility needs and maintain a welcoming living environment.
Community Partnerships
  • Maintain strong working relationships with community organizations, landlords, healthcare providers, educational institutions, employers, and other service providers.
  • Coordinate referrals and advocate for residents to access community resources.
