The TOS Platform Engineering org focuses on the intersection of customer experience and support operations, leading modernization and standardization of how OCI supports its customers. We are building a brand‑new highly available and scalable ticketing platform used for all cloud operations. As a Senior Member on this team, you will contribute to defining, designing, and delivering this platform using the latest technologies on OCI.

You will partner with product teams, learn about existing challenges, and influence vision and direction. You will be responsible for the entire software lifecycle – development, testing, CI/CD, and production operations. You must balance product feature development and production operational concerns like run books, ops automation, structured logging, instrumentation for metrics and events using OCI internal tooling.

• 3–5 years of experience shipping scalable, cloud native distributed systems
• BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team environment
• Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts (data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms)
• Proficient in Java, C# , Python and shell scripting tools
• Experience with container orchestration like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Mesos, and Helm Charts
• Strong working experience on Git Hub, Bitbucket, Team City, Hudson, Maven, Gradle
• Experience building highly available services, knowledge of common service‑oriented design patterns and service‑to‑service communication protocols
• Experience with components of modern infrastructure (service discovery, secret storage, containerization, software‑defined networking)
• Experience with production operations and best practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise
• Effective verbal and written communication of technical ideas (design specs, architecture diagrams, presentations)

• MS in Computer Science
• Experience in a fast‑paced start‑up environment
• Experience building control plane/data plane solutions for cloud native companies
• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving performance issues in complex environments
• Deep understanding of Unix‑like operating systems
• Production experience with Cloud and ML technologies
• Data science and machine learning knowledge would be helpful but not required
