*** This role is fully on-site at our Nashville, TN location. We are seeking candidates who are currently located in the Nashville Metropolitan Area and able to work on-site daily. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this position.

We are seeking an
** Automation Software Engineer
** to design, build, and support the software systems that power our automated laboratory operations. This role blends hands-on software engineering with laboratory automation, robotics, and instrumentation, offering the opportunity to see your work directly improve efficiency, reliability, and scientific throughput.

- ** What You'll Do
**** Software Development & Automation Integration
*** Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that integrate laboratory automation platforms and robotic systems.
* Program and debug automation software using .NET (C#), SQL, vendor-specific tools, and custom controls for laboratory instruments.
* Develop software-based diagnostics, monitoring, and reporting tools to assess automation system health and performance.
* Identify system and process inefficiencies and recommend software-driven enhancements to improve reliability and throughput.
** System Support & Troubleshooting
*** Provide software support for automated instrumentation, equipment, custom hardware add-ons, and related systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues impacting automated laboratory operations.
* Support ongoing maintenance, updates, and optimization of automation software and systems.
* Participate in a rotating on-call schedule once fully trained.
** Validation, Documentation & Collaboration
*** Perform and document IQ/OQ/PQ activities for automated instrumentation, systems, and software components.
* Create clear, concise technical documentation for software, systems, and procedures.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to define specifications, evaluate compatibility, and support system installations.
* Stay current on emerging technologies in automation, robotics, software engineering, and laboratory systems.## Qualifications

**** Required Qualifications
*** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
