Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept

As a Software Engineer II, you will serve in a mid‑level position taking ownership of features and contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of software applications. This role involves working across multiple platforms, applying modern development practices, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable solutions. It offers opportunities to deepen technicalexpertiseand influence team processes.

What will you do?
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications across desktop, mobile, web, and cloud‑based platforms.
  • Translate user stories and technical requirements into working code with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Take ownership of assigned features or components, completing work with minimal oversight while seeking support when needed.
  • Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and sprint planning activities.
  • Assistin writing andmaintainingcode using .NET, C#, Type Script, Node.js, and related technologies.
  • Write production‑ready, maintainable code and contribute to project documentation for long‑term sustainability.
  • Develop, execute, andmaintainunit tests; contribute to integration and system testing efforts.
  • Support QA initiatives by reviewing test cases,triagingbugs, and validating software against requirements.
  • Participate in CI/CD workflows and version control practices.
  • Apply secure coding practices and adhere to project standards.
  • Collaborate with QA and Dev Ops teams tovalidatefunctionality and performance of deliverables.
  • Integrate software components, troubleshoot integration issues, andvalidateend‑to‑end system functionality.
  • Ask thoughtful questions, actively seek feedback, and contribute ideas during sprint planning and technical discussions.
  • Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives by helping break down stories andestimatingtasks.
  • Learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and development methodologies.
  • Adhere to company policies andmaintainalignment with company culture.
Capabilities that will enable your success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • 3+ years of experience in C# and .NET.
  • Hands‑on experience with embedded systems development, assembly language, or firmware.
  • Basicproficiencyin Type Script and JavaScript with exposure to modern frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD practices, and software testing.
  • Understanding databases (SQLite and/or Mongo DB) and API usage.
  • Willingness to collaborate and learn from more experienced team members.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% based on company and customer needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Agile software development teams.
  • Exposure to Docker, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), or backend development tools.
  • Interest in geospatial or mission‑focused applications.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright or test scripting.
Clearance Requirements
  • Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen and willing and eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance at the Secret or Top‑Secret level. Existing clearance is preferred.
