Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are looking for an experienced full stack engineer to help expand our backend operations on our customer facing site  Essentially an individual who loves to learn quickly, work hard, efficiently always moving forward, and excited to help build something from humble beginnings.

Your role will be to work closely with the rest of the engineering team, aiding our internal stakeholders in understanding their challenges, helping engineer and build shopping experiences that complement our bidding platform. In the first 90 days this role would be working on a new initiative which will extend our customer’s experience and help implement a Event Bridge / Kafka workflow for real-time messaging.

You will also assist with maintaining current software systems and provide user support. Currently we work on in-house software which supports the day-to-day operations of our processing and management system of which includes the maintenance and continuing to support our scaling of the systems in place. The architecture has been put into place, now we are working on fine tuning the system as we align to our scaling up of the business.

As an engineer at Treverse, you'd be a major contributor to our micro-services ecosystem (built out in compiled languages) to provide users an alternative buying experience through our online platforms. Our infrastructure is built in the cloud (AWS) w/ code first infrastructure and we are looking for more expertise to grow our engineering team. We work on everything from front-end frameworks to backend processing of events as we build out our business.

We also care about our pipelines and time, so we embrace CI /CD technologies to help release code efficiently. All in all, as a small team we get to build interesting systems and partake in all aspects of the development process by wearing many hats.

What makes us a bit unique is having greater insight as being part of the big picture. We work directly with departments to understand their challenges and then develop software solutions for them. Nothing is more satisfying for a developer than getting to design, build, and watch your solution being put to work. No suits and ties here! We have a casual, comfortable work environment.

Everyone is on a first name basis. We know it’s the people that make a company! Have you ever wondered where all the returned items go? So, what is reverse logistics? Forward logistics focuses on the movement of goods from the manufacturer to the customer, reverse logistics focuses on customer returns.

So more about our business... We are a reverse logistics company where we work with big box retailers and help them move overstock, return, and abandoned inventory. Our value comes from margin recovery, processing efficiency, and multiple sales channels where we can help our partners. We have one main processing facility where most of the product is run through and then an online bidding platform via A-Stock (check out A-Stock Bids mobile app) where we are running 30K lots a week, wholesale partners, 3rd party sellers, and 10 pickup / bin store locations throughout the Southeast US.
