We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer who thrives on building high‑quality applications, guiding engineering teams, and shaping technical direction. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full stack, leading architectural decisions, and delivering reliable, scalable solutions for web, mobile, and cloud environments.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll oversee the design, development, and maintenance of custom applications that support key business operations. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering leadership, mentor developers, and ensure best practices are consistently applied across projects. This position requires strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain desktop, web, and mobile applications aligned with business objectives.
- Modernize legacy systems by converting existing applications to C#.
- Define technical direction, contribute to architectural decisions, and champion engineering standards.
- Mentor and support a team of software engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure high‑quality, maintainable, and secure code.
- Gather requirements and translate them into conceptual and technical designs for concurrent projects.
- Manage the development lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, tracking progress, and removing roadblocks.
- Utilize Git and Azure Dev Ops for version control, CI/CD, and deployment workflows.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing applications to improve performance and reliability.
- Document solutions through diagrams, flowcharts, technical specs, and clear code comments.
- Implement security best practices across all software solutions.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to brainstorm and develop new product ideas.
- Stay current with modern development tools, frameworks, and industry trends.
- Provide occasional after‑hours support when needed.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Deep expertise in SQL Server, T‑SQL, SSRS, and SSIS.
- Strong understanding of RESTful services, object‑oriented design, and relational databases.
- Hands‑on experience with mobile development for iOS and Android.
- Proficiency with Git and Azure Dev Ops for code management and deployment pipelines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning.
