Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) organization has a rare opportunity to play a part in building a critical Oracle Cloud Service. You will assist in the development of short, medium, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives. The position regularly interacts across functional areas with senior engineering management or executives to ensure that the objectives are met. You will have the ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Attention to detail and ability to multitask is important. Strong leadership skills are required.

The Senior Manager of Engineering in the OCI Data & AI services group will be responsible for development, design, global operations, planning, forecasting and execution of a critical Cloud Service. Responsibilities of this role include:

• Setting the technical direction for the architectural in collaboration with other senior technical resources.
• Developing strategic plans to accomplish technical as well as business objectives in partnership with leaders across various Oracle business groups and customers.
• Drive innovation through advancement of OCI data services.
• Management responsibility over multiple software engineering teams.
• Building high performing geographically distributed engineering teams through hiring and coaching.
• Establish and implement engineering strategies that align with applicable standards and regulatory practices

Hiring Range in USD from: $118,300 to $264,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

• Paid time off:
  Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.
  
  Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
