As a Sky West A&P Mechanic, you will be a part of a fast-paced environment full of variety that puts your talent to work on our growing fleet of aircraft. Plus, those with military A&P experience are eligible for a $7,500 bonus with a commitment to work at Sky West for at least three years.

Reports to Manager of Heavy Maintenance and Supervisor Heavy Maintenance

• Manager of Heavy Maintenance Contracts regarding aircraft
• Manager of Heavy Maintenance
• Assigned Manager of Quality Control
• Senior Manager of Quality Control
• Manager of Quality Assurance
• Manager of Reliability

• Ensures the inspection and repair of Sky West aircraft are conducted with the highest possible quality.
• Verifies that all paperwork submitted to the SGU records department concerning the aircraft is complete, accurate, free of omissions, and properly identified.
• Oversee the progress and quality of the heavy maintenance project.
• Monitor and inspect work performed during the heavy maintenance project.
• Assists in the interpretation and implementation of Sky West standard practices.
• Ensures completion of all documentation required by Sky West.
• Reviews paperwork regularly to confirm discrepancies and corrective actions are properly documented.
• Performs Airworthiness Release Authorization and RII functions for completed aircraft.
• Assists in the training of heavy maintenance personnel.
• Supports receiving inspection of parts provisioning.

THIS IS A DAY SHIFT POSITION

• Must hold the following:
  • Must hold a valid A&P Certificate 14 CFR 121.378
  • Level III Mechanic Authorization
  • RII authorization (preferred)
  • Receiving Authorization (preferred)
  • Airworthiness Release Authorization (preferred)
  • Valid, unrestricted, driver's license
• Preferred experience in supervision of personnel
• Must be willing to travel up to 2 weeks at any given time
• Must be self-motivated with positive attitude and ability to motivate others
• Must be familiar with Sky West Airlines maintenance standard practice policy and procedures
• Extensive Sky West MIP knowledge
• Experience with Sky Track
• Must be familiar with requirement of SP 7650, Maintenance Recording regarding maintenance records of aircraft, engines, propellers, appliances and other components and/or maintenance functions that are required by applicable FAR’s
• Have good communication skills both written and verbal

• Able to comfortably lift 75 lbs. routinely with or without reasonable accommodation
