Role at a glance

As the senior crew member, you hold command authority across Jet Access's managed and charter flights, exercise operational control, mentor First Officers, and represent the company with owners and passengers. This role blends flight leadership, client service, regulatory compliance, aircraft coordination, and international operations.

What you'll do
  • Set the safety, professionalism, and service tone on every assignment; lead by example.
  • Exercise command authority and final go/no-go decisions in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual, FARs, and company policies.
  • Plan and brief each mission: weather analysis, NOTAMs, performance, fuel, alternates, and international requirements.
  • Maintain currency and proficiency; ensure compliance with flight, duty, and rest requirements.
  • Mentor and provide in-flight guidance to First Officers; deliver constructive post-flight feedback and crew development insights to the Chief Pilot.
  • Deliver premium owner/passenger experiences: conduct preflight briefings, manage special requests and itinerary changes with the Operations Control Center, and maintain a polished professional presence.
  • Verify airworthiness: review flight and maintenance logs, coordinate open items, monitor engine trend data, and confirm manuals, charts, and required equipment are onboard.
  • Oversee accurate and timely flight, aircraft, and passenger records; manage Ground and In-Flight Security Coordinator duties where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR 91/135, ICAO, customs, immigration, and foreign authority requirements.
  • Engage in special projects, standardization, training, and continuous communication with Dispatch/Scheduling.
What you'll bring (minimum qualifications)
  • Certificates: ATP and current First Class Medical.
  • Total time: 5,000 hours total; 1,500 hours PIC; 500 hours Multi-Engine PIC; 250 hours PIC in type; 250 hours Turbine PIC on assigned aircraft.
  • Gulfstream experience: Current heavy Gulfstream time (G500 or above) with initial or recurrent training on the required type within the last 12 months.
  • Regulatory: Working knowledge of FAR Parts 135 and 91.
  • Tools & tech: Proficiency with digital flight planning, avionics, and web/mobile flight apps.
  • Clearances: Valid driver's license and passport; able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Medical & fitness: Meets and maintains FAA medical and physical standards for Part 135 PIC operations; physical stamina for extended duty and variable conditions.

Preferred qualifications
  • Part 135 or corporate flight experience with a managed fleet operator.
  • Experience mentoring junior pilots and contributing to standardization.
  • Familiarity with Avianis or Fore Flight Dispatch.
  • Extensive international and overwater operating experience.
  • Participation in Safety Management Systems, audit prep, or fleet standardization initiatives. Schedule, travel, and base
    • Based at KJWN with regular on-site presence at assigned airports and charter departure points.
    • Variable schedule driven by aircraft assignments, charter demand, and owner travel - early departures, late arrivals, evenings/weekends, on-call periods.
    • Domestic and international trips, including multi-day and extended overnights.
    • Recurrent training, compliance deadlines, Level 10 meetings, and all-hands attendance when not on trips.
