Operations Manager
Overview
As a Warehouse Supervisor you'll support retail operations of Opry Entertainment Group's legendary musical institutions by processing shipments of branded apparel, collectibles, and music-related products. You'll oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities including receiving, processing and distributing merchandise to retail locations. You'll work with in a safe, clean, and climate-controlled warehouse environment. As the ideal candidate you'll motivate your team to achieve productivity goals, and customer service standards.
Responsibilities- Direct warehouse personnel in daily activities. Communicate daily tasks and goals and coach employees.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities. Plan, monitor, and appraise job contributions. Give employee performance feedback to leadership.
- Execute daily pick tickets. Ensure all stores receive pick ticket within 24 hours.
- Operate all inventory management tools (Oracle and RF-SMART). Maintain inventory accuracy along with bin (row/rack/bin) management.
- Perform monthly cycle counts.
- Guide the receiving team and confirm merchandise is quality-checked, received and stored by following established SOPs.
- Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards. Minimize risks and maintain a safe, clean, organized warehouse according to SOP.
- Communicate with stakeholders, i.e. suppliers, corporate leadership, and store teams.
- Assist with local deliveries as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years' experience warehouse inventory including receiving, inventory, picking, and distribution
- 1+ years' supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with inventory management systems preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
Skills And Abilities
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills required
- Excellent attendance, self-motivation, and ability to work independently
- Basic computer skills required
- OSHA Forklift & Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) certification preferred; provided before authorized to use forklift or MEWP.
- OSHA 10-Hour General Industry training certifications provided within 120 days of hire
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required
This position requires a pre-employment drug screening (4-panel: phencyclidine, cocaine, amphetamines and opiates)
Physical RequirementsSpeak and hear to communicate effectively and use both near and distance vision to process inventory. Stand and walk for extended periods, while carrying items. Frequently climb up and down a rolling ladder to access storage areas. Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and frequently sit, kneel, bend, and reach to move goods. Manual dexterity for tasks such as using a computer and handling merchandise.
Learn and operate a forklift, cherry picker, and other warehouse equipment.
Climate-controlled warehouse environment in close proximity to others; frequently using warehouse equipment, including rolling ladder and cherry-picker, to access high storage areas. Occasionally drive a company vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions to deliver to retail locations throughout the Nashville area.
