Plant Inventory Specialist

Drax is seeking a Plant Inventory Specialist to manage biomass and materials inventory at our renewable energy facility. You will track stock across storage areas, perform cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate, auditable records. Working closely with operations, logistics, and finance, you'll coordinate material movements, support month-end and year-end counts, and maintain data in ERP systems. You'll uphold Drax's safety-first and sustainability standards while driving process improvements, reducing losses, and supporting reliable, low carbon power generation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and reconcile biomass and materials inventory across plant storage locations
• Perform regular cycle counts and investigations to resolve stock discrepancies
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP and reporting systems
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and logistics to plan material movements
• Track inventory quality, moisture, and specifications to meet compliance standards
• Prepare inventory, audit, and regulatory reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Support month-end and year-end physical counts with finance and audit teams
• Implement and improve inventory control procedures and safety practices
• Analyze usage trends to optimize stock levels and reduce losses
• Ensure adherence to Drax safety, environmental, and sustainability policies
