Overview
Travel Nurse RN (PCU – Progressive Care Unit) – Natchez, Mississippi – 13‑week assignment starting 07/06/2026. 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; respond appropriately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac procedures and examinations.
- Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
- Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians of cardiac status and response to interventions.
- Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies.
- Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients.
- Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain confidentiality of patients and client information.
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- One year recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
- Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification.
- NIHSS certification.
- Other certifications and licenses may be required.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient reading, writing, and communication in English.
- Ability to read/write instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
- Interpersonal

Work effectively with a variety of personnel; maintain positive attitude and professionalism. - Technical/Motor
Skills:
Fine manipulation, push/pull, mobility during procedures and equipment use. - Mental Requirements: Ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision or independently, remain concentration during irregular activity schedules.
