Crew Member Duties Include- Assisting with the installation of landscape elements such as plants, trees, sod, mulch, and irrigation systems.
- Performing hardscape construction tasks including grading, setting pavers, building retaining walls, and installing edging or decorative stone.
- Operating a variety of hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., trenchers, compactors, skid steers, saws).
- Preparing job sites by clearing debris, digging, grading, and measuring layout areas.
- Loading, unloading, and organizing materials, tools, and equipment on-site.
- Following layout plans and instructions provided by supervisors or crew leaders.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Assisting with equipment maintenance and reporting any repairs or safety concerns promptly.
- Complying with all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- A solid work ethic and good teamwork skills
- Skills in various construction techniques and equipment.
- High school degree or GED is preferred.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lb.
- A valid driver license and a clean driving record is a plus.
- Ability to read and write.
- Must have the minimum of 6 months of experience in landscaping or construction.
- Horticulture knowledge and standards of planting, digging, and mulching is preferred.
- Knowledge of irrigation, landscape lighting, drainage, and other landscape-related trades is a plus.
- The use of heavy equipment is a plus (i.e. bobcats, excavator, skid-steer loader etc.)
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time while assigned to various project locations (if assigned remotely housing is provided).
- Hourly payrates start at the prevailing wage set by the Dept of Labor (DOL) for the location assigned
