Seasonal Traveling Industrial Maintenance Hydroblasters Laborers

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is hiring seasonal traveling industrial maintenance hydroblasters laborers to perform hazardous waste clean‑up, site remediation, equipment decontamination and general industrial maintenance across the United States. This role requires 100% travel to multiple customer locations and a TWIC card.

Location and Travel

Various customer locations across the U.S. – 100% travel required. Must be able to travel for extended periods, up to 5 months if necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a safety representative responsible for company and customer safety policies, including hands‑on information regarding operations, safety, equipment, emergency response and administrative functions.
  • Operate manual and automated hydro‑blasting equipment, ultra‑high‑pressure pumps, and other specialized hydro‑blasting and chemical cleaning equipment.
  • Operate vacuum trucks and cutting equipment used on the job.
  • Inspect surfaces after cleaning to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on company equipment.
  • If in a supervisory capacity, interface with customer representatives to ensure job scope and performance meet or exceed requirements, report to the branch manager or designee, and implement procedures to obtain the results specified by management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • See, read, distinguish, and understand signs in the work area.
  • Hear and distinguish emergency signals while on duty.
  • Execute a 180‑degree rotary motion of the cervical spine to allow complete movement of the head and neck.
  • Extend arms above head; frequently bend at the waist, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl.
  • Tolerate being wet from head to toe for unrestricted periods.
  • Climb ladders and work from scaffolding or stationary platforms up to 200 ft.
  • Operate in confined spaces with a minimum inside diameter of 5 ft.
  • Hold the back thrust of 50 lbs on a straight 66‑in pipe for a minimum of 1 hour.
  • Wear protective clothing and/or equipment such as Nomex coveralls, back belt, slickers, rubber boots, fresh‑air breathing mask, escape pack, and hard hat.
  • Work under extreme climate conditions (e.g., high heat index, 98 % humidity, or sub‑zero weather).
  • Expose to dust, fumes, exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids; a respirator will be provided when required.
  • Noise levels exceed 85 dBA; hearing protection is provided and required.
  • Lift and maintain a minimum of 40 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on‑the‑job training, and essential experience from related roles.
  • English proficiency sufficient to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers.
  • OSHA certification may be required.
  • Must follow all safety protocols for each site.
  • Follow work hours and rules established by management, complying with HPC policies.
