The Comptroller and Business Manager at Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts develops and implements the school's annual budget, manages financial operations including payroll and purchasing, and prepares financial reports to the state. This full-time position reports to the Director of Finance, Operations, and IT at a selective-admission public residential high school in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Key qualifications- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, public administration, or related field
- Minimum five years of professional experience in governmental accounting or equivalent
- Departmental and/or agency-level budget development experience
- Experience using computer programs involving accounting spreadsheets
- Master's degree in related fields (preferred)
- Ten or more years of professional experience in governmental accounting (preferred)
