Job Summary

Position:
Quality Engineer (Copeland) – Responsible for leading and coordinating quality initiatives at the Alliance compressors facility in Natchitoches, LA.

Responsibilities
  • Support operations by identifying root cause for internal problems and implementing short- and long-term actions.
  • Active participation on Tier 3 and 4 Lean daily meetings.
  • Assign key tasks to process auditors based on production schedule.
  • Establish and implement quality product and process verification methods.
  • Audit and train others on how to perform quality process audits.
  • Coach and mentor operators and display quality criteria.
  • Identify normal and abnormal conditions and track, monitor, and act on internal key metrics (internal ppm’s and scrap).
  • Participate in product teardown analysis of internal and customer returned parts.
  • Support customer complaints by implementing containment and driving root cause analysis.
  • Implement and maintain control and PFMEA.
  • Identify patterns from internal metric reviews.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Use statistical tools to help predict problems.
  • Apply structured problem‑solving techniques to identify root causes in complex problems.
  • Run CMM and read/interprete international standards such as GD&T.
  • Ensure compliance with all housekeeping procedures and quality and safety regulations.
  • Use technical knowledge of core documents (CP, PFMEA) to implement quality tools that predict problems.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, production, manufacturing engineering, engineering technology, or a related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Three years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in quality management, quality engineering, and lean manufacturing.
Physical Demands

Employee will be required to sit at a desk and work on a computer; navigate warehouse and inventory areas; have visual acuity for inspection; have manual dexterity; lift up to 35 pounds.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Occasional after‑hour work may be required.
