Resident Engineer

Position Overview

Resident Engineer at Copeland, Natchitoches, LA. Responsible for linking plant operations with product engineering, supporting in‑plant quality, engineering, production, and other corporate functions.

• Manage and coordinate cross‑functional teams to complete projects.
• Provide product engineering support.
• Support plant operations, including production, manufacturing, in‑plant quality, and engineering needs.
• Troubleshoot problems.
• Work on quality and cost improvement projects.
• Analyze and present data as needed.
• Demonstrate understanding of functional role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship not provided).

• Experience in high‑volume manufacturing facility.
• Experience with high‑volume rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of Minitab or other statistical software.
• Knowledge and experience with DMAIC problem‑solving methodology.
• Lean or Six‑sigma knowledge.
