Based out of our Natchitoches, LA location, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of second shift operations. Your expertise will be vital in driving efficient production processes and upholding our high-quality standards. You will lead a dedicated team of two salaried supervisors and approximately 50-60 hourly employees. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will spearhead initiatives to optimize productivity, enhance operational performance, and foster a culture of collaboration and safety for the department.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and hourly employees, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to optimize workflow.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot production issues and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Lead shift meetings to communicate production goals, safety protocols, and updates to the team.
  • Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness among all team members.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all procedures, reporting, and policies are followed and has authority to directly address or correct any non-conformance.
  • Completes or ensures proper paperwork, record-keeping, data entry.
Schedule

This position has the working hours of 4:00 pm - 2:30 am and is fully onsite.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent minimally required.
  • Eight (8) years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a large, high-volume manufacturing setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing production challenges.
  • Strong orientation for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate well cross-functionally and work well at all levels of the organization.
  • Resourceful, proactive, high energy, results driven.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with manufacturing software and reporting tools.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Shift Manager in a large, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or similar continuous process improvement.
