Required Qualifications & Experience:

Active, unrestricted RN license
Minimum of one year of recent psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Strong crisis management and de-escalation techniques
Ability to provide empathetic care to individuals with diverse mental health needs
Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care of psychiatric patients
Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness and adverse reactions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, including physicians, social workers, and therapists
Document patient observations, interventions, and responses using electronic medical records
Facilitate therapeutic groups and individual patient education sessions
Support and educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and mental health conditions
Ensure a safe, supportive environment by following established protocols and safety measures
