Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) - Natchitoches, Louisiana

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Experience in psychiatric nursing or behavioral health settings
• Strong assessment and crisis intervention skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of mental health medications and treatment modalities
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors with compassion and professionalism
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and mental health evaluations
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Provide therapeutic interventions and support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment, and encounters
• Respond to psychiatric emergencies and participate in de-escalation as needed
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and coping strategies
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards

$1,688 - $1,836/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
