Assistant Director Of Nursing
Provides direct and indirect supervision to CNAs under the direction of the DON. Assists with CNA's assignments, distributes resident personal supplies, monitors for tardiness, assists with resident complaints, receives absenteeism calls, replaces personnel or rearranges daily schedule to cover sections; assists with CNA meetings; attends management meetings.
Assists with the supervision of CNAs.
Assists with staffing and call-ins for CNAs.
Assists with daily assignments for CNA personnel.
Assists with transportation when needed.
Explains assignments when necessary.
Joins the on-call rotation.
Makes daily assignments for the feeding program.
Checks CNAs' charting for accuracy, I.E. ADL coding, percentages.
Checks CNAs' assignments to make sure they have been charted (not in red).
Monitors residents' rooms for cleanliness as well as whirlpools and showers.
Checks residents' rooms to see that nursing care by CNAs is appropriate.
Assures that CNAs have the supplies they need to perform their duties.
Reports consistent tardiness to DON.
Assists with CNA staff meetings.
Responds to resident complaints regarding bedside care.
Assists with replacement of personnel when someone calls in.
Splits assignments when unable to replace personnel.
Helps CNAs with lifting and transferring residents as needed.
Attends in-services as scheduled.
Assists DON in annual and 90-day evaluations for CNAs.
Treats residents and their families with respect and dignity.
Exhibits genuine interest in and appreciation of adults in later years of life.
Ensures that Bowel/Bladder documentation is complete.
Monitors for completion of all CNA tasks.

Supervises all CNA staff.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current CNA certification in the State of Louisiana for Long Term Care Facilities.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within three (3) months of hire date.
Five years of CNA experience preferred.
