Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) Natchitoches, LA 71457

Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark in stores. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and you may support seasonal resets and installations. On occasion you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $13.00-$15.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • We provide paid training, delivered through live hands-on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
  • Hallmark part-time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part-time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours for this position are between 10-20 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays (which may include weekends) is required.
  • Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (e.g., grocery, drug, department stores, mass retailers). The retail merchandiser role includes three components:

  • Day-to-day engagement:
    Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department using a mobile device. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys for required merchandising activities. Maintain professional interaction with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    Hallmark’s operations hinge on seasonal demand. Expect additional days and extended hours around holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may be required to work on these holidays, including weekends.
  • Department Resets:
    You may be part of a team responsible for installations and tasks such as building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. You will typically be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments; this could include evenings or weekends.
  • One Team Vision:
    As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who may support other team members in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding role that requires energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may climb stairs or ladders as part of the job.

Qualifications
  • You're at least 18 years of age.
  • You're able to read, write, and understand English.
  • You have the ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • You have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
  • You have access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Part-time employees with a work schedule of less than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
