Full‑time - Salary: $58,600 – $113,500 per year (competitive, based on experience and education)
- Location:
Natick, MA (additional travel between sites may be required)
Full‑time Teacher in the Transition Program. Provides educational and behavioral consultation services to help ACCEPT programs build capacity to serve students with low incidence disabilities.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited university
- Valid Massachusetts License / DESE
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
- Proven ability to create IEPs
- Patient, resilient, resourceful, compassionate personality
- Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Master’s Degree in Education or a related field (preferred)
- Teach, conduct educational assessments, write reports and present findings at Team meetings
- Assess students’ abilities and craft teaching plans
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs for each student assigned
- Prepare quarterly progress reports
- Collaborate with related service providers and coordinate services for assigned students
- Provide information and support to parents and district liaisons as appropriate
- Coordinate completion of progress reports and Team meeting materials with related service providers
- Prepare and plan instruction that aligns with State Frameworks and IEPs
- Develop and implement student schedules to ensure goals are addressed meaningfully
- Create a differentiated learning environment adapted to individual learning needs, strengths, style, communication and behavioral needs
- Embed visual supports and established routines to maximize student independence
- Track and reflect on student progress
- Monitor behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions when necessary
- Manage classroom crisis and resolve conflict
- Prepare students for transition to the next grade
- Coach, mentor and manage Teaching Assistants
- Respond to all email requests within 24 hours
- Occasional travel between all collaborative locations
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director

Regular movement within the school building, occasional traversal across uneven surfaces, lifting up to 20 lbs, frequent use of hands for gestures and tools, operating computer equipment, and continuous communication with students, parents and staff. The work environment is a normal school setting with an acceptable noise level.
