Job Title: Teacher, Early Childhood
Location: Memorial Elementary School
Reports To: Building Principal
Work Days/FTE: 183 days / 1.0 FTE
Salary / Benefits: Salary and benefits per contract with the Education Association of Natick Unit A;

All children are capable of attaining high levels of educational achievement. As an elementary school teacher, the goal is to educate all students to high levels through high‑quality instruction.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree
- Master’s degree preferred
- Massachusetts DESE certification in Elementary Education 1‑6
- SEI Endorsement
- Strong foundation in student‑centered pedagogy
- Knowledge of developmental needs of children
- Strong content‑area knowledge and expertise
- Knowledge of elementary school philosophy
- Thorough understanding of theories and teaching methodologies and of the academic, social, and emotional needs of elementary school students
- Working knowledge of Massachusetts Standards‑Based curriculum
- Working knowledge of UDL principles
- Working knowledge of SEL instruction and supports
- Commitment to principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice
- Experience teaching in a diverse public elementary school (preferred)
- Experience working with students with disabilities/special abilities (preferred)
- Experience working with English language learners (preferred)
- Experience with Google Suite and Power School preferred
- Demonstrated aptitude for work
- Bilingual skills (Spanish, Portuguese) highly desirable
- Passion for working with students, families, and colleagues
- Flexible, collaborative, and capable of multitasking in a fast‑paced supportive environment
- Organized and able to meet time‑sensitive deadlines

- Provide learning experiences in language arts, social studies, reading, mathematics, science, art, physical education, and music guided by the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district standards.
- Monitor student understanding and adjust instruction, materials, and assessments as appropriate.
- Evaluate and refine instructional strategies, including effective use of technology, to increase student learning, involvement, and confidence.
- Demonstrate appreciation for and sensitivity to diversity, ensuring equitable opportunities for student learning.
- Maintain and improve professional competence through professional development events and self‑generated activities.
- Share responsibility for accomplishing goals and priorities of grade/team/PLC/department, building, and district; attend all faculty and committee meetings and district‑wide committees as needed.
