Location: Natick High School, Natick, Massachusetts
Reports To: Director of Athletics
Job Type: Seasonal / Part-Time
Salary / Benefits: Stipend position per contract with the Education Association of Natick. Not benefits eligible.

Job DescriptionLead and support student-athletes to reach their full potential through athletic development, character building, teamwork, and commitment to lifelong success both on and off the course.
QualificationsEducation: High School graduate or GED
Professional Certification: Must complete certifications as required by MIAA
Specialized Knowledge- Solid foundation in student-centered coaching
- Knowledge of developmental needs of adolescents
- Understanding of theories and methodologies for coaching adolescents
- Understanding of academic, social, and emotional needs of adolescents
- Commitment to principles and practices of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice
- Experience coaching in a diverse public school (preferred)
- Experience working with students with disabilities/special abilities (preferred)
- Experience working with students who are English language learners (preferred)
- Experience with Google Suite and Power School (preferred, training provided)
- Demonstrated aptitude for the required work
- Ability to create a welcoming team environment for student athletes
- Ability to coach and support students in improving individual and team skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish and Portuguese, are highly desirable
- Passion for working with students, families, and colleagues
- Flexibility and collaboration
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment that nurtures student growth
- Organized and able to meet deadlines for work production
- Fulfill duties assigned by Athletic Director
- Availability for nights and some weekends
- Complete all trainings assigned by Natick Public Schools
- Identify and address bias and its impact on rigor and opportunity for students
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Move about classroom, school grounds, office, and off-site locations
- May need to move quickly across uneven surfaces
- Remain stationary for periods of time
- Operate computers and other office equipment
- Read materials from computer monitor and printed matter
- Maintain files and access materials
- Communicate clearly with students, parents, staff
- Collaborate effectively via in-person, video, phone, or writing
- Observe details at close range
- Ensure safety of students
- Multitask and meet multiple demands
- Teach and support students with life skills development
- Lifting up to 25 lbs
- Work at moderate to loud noise level
