The Natick Public Schools educate approximately 5,300 students from Pre‑K through age 22. Education: High School diploma or GED

Professional Certification: None required, but a commitment to equity and inclusive practices is essential.

Specialized Knowledge:

• Thorough understanding of and commitment to the principles and practices of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice as they relate to student, staff and community engagement and cultivation

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Classroom, etc.) and Power School preferred, but training will be provided to the right candidate.

Skills:

• Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed
• Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish and Portuguese, are highly desirable
• Passion for working with students, families, and colleagues
• Flexibility and collaboration in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to multitask and meet time‑sensitive deadlines
• Strong organizational skills

Alternative degrees or experience may be substituted for the above at the discretion of the Superintendent.

• Phone, intercom, personal computer and software (including Google Suite and Power School), scanner, copy machine, calculator, camera, printers, and fax machine.

• Work with students individually and in small groups: review and reinforce lessons, implement instruction.
• Assist the teacher in responding to the special needs of individual students and accompany students through transitions.
• Administer or assist in alternative testing, including classroom, district, and state assessments.
• Provide support for core curriculum, academic support, and related therapies (speech, language, occupational, physical, and mobility training).
• Maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards.
• Participate in staff development programs and consultations with special education staff.
• Implement individual behavior support plans.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and administration.
• Record accurate data on student academics, behaviors, or other goal areas.
• Support students in developing communication, social, and academic skills.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by principal, supervising teacher, or department director.
• Engage in district‑provided safety care training when required.
