We’re Seeking a Full Time JrK Teacher in Natick

Job DescriptionThe Tobin School is seeking a Jr Kindergarten Teacher for our JrK Full Day classroom, beginning late August 2026. This teacher will work collaboratively with one other full time teacher, support teachers, and an afternoon assistant to support up to 16 children per day in a classroom running 7:15-5:45. Responsibilities include parent communication, child supervision, curriculum planning, child assessment, and ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation protocols, EEC licensing regulations, and NAEYC Accreditation Criteria.
The position requires 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts with a paid 1/2 hour break. Schedule is flexible from 8:00-4:00, primarily 9:45-5:45. The role is full year, with summer work in our Summer at Tobin Jr program for those heading to JrK and Kindergarten in the Fall.
Our JrK Full Day program offers a transitional year for children who miss the Kindergarten cutoff or would benefit from an additional year. The school has beautiful classrooms, extensive outdoor play spaces, a turf field, garden spaces, sandboxes, a mud kitchen, loose parts area, indoor gross motor space, and a dedicated STEAM room.

Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate with opportunities for creativity and teacher input.
Applicants must have an EEC Preschool Teacher certification and early childhood teaching experience. A degree in early childhood or a related field is highly valued. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to plan creative, engaging curriculum is a must. Knowledge of a second language is a plus.

Compensation
:
Competitive hourly rate based on education and experience. Pay range: $21.00–$24.00 per hour.
