Toddler Assistant Teacher

SALMON Center for Early Education, Natick

Full-Time | Monday through Friday | 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay: $21.50 to $22.50 per hour

Your Mission:

The SALMON Center for Early Education is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will support the Lead Teacher and classroom Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where toddlers can learn, play, and grow. If you enjoy working with young children, collaborating with a supportive team, and making a positive impact each day, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where toddlers can learn and grow.
  • Support daily classroom routines, including activities, snack preparation, lunch, and nap time.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators while communicating observations and concerns to the Lead Teacher.
  • Assist with intergenerational programming and other classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with the classroom team to support the daily operation of the program and ensure a positive learning environment.

What You'll Bring:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • First Aid and CPR certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
  • A patient, nurturing, organized, and dependable approach to working with young children.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
