Profile of a Natick Educator
JOB GOAL:
Responsible for the daily operation of one before school (Early Risers) and after school (ASAP) site, a creative, community service-oriented environment. Duties include, but are not limited to: orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation of program personnel; overall program design; communication with families and school personnel; and enforcement of policies and procedures regarding safety and quality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field strongly preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Four years or more of experience working with youth in an organized setting and 6 months of administrative and supervisory experience or at least 3 credits in management, administration, or staff supervision.
- Ability to lead large groups, communicate effectively with families and school personnel, supervise staff, and respond proactively to a variety of challenges.
Skills:
- Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed
- Candidates should have a passion for working with students, families, and colleagues
- Candidates must be flexible and collaborative
- Candidates must be able to multitask in a fast-paced, supportive environment that nurtures student growth
Alternative degrees/experience may be substituted for the above at the discretion of the Superintendent, if such a substitution brings a strong candidate forward.
