Field/Service Technician
The Mobile Service Technician is a unique position that covers field service repairs. The role involves traveling to client locations to diagnose, maintain, and repair Lucid Motors vehicles in the field. Mobile service technicians are equipped with a service van or truck and the necessary tools. The position requires independent work while also collaborating with a service team for support.
Responsibilities- Function as a Service Advisor and perform parts department duties including ordering, returns, and inventory management.
- Work directly with clients to provide a high level of customer experience.
- Use the appropriate software suite to fully document all customer vehicle interactions.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and overall Electric Vehicle (EV) systems.
- Perform walk‑around and write‑up processes, accurately identifying primary concerns through verbal interview and visual assessment.
- Document client concerns for diagnosis and repair.
- Follow correct repair order documentation procedures (e.g., The Three C’s).
- Invoice and collect payment.
- Handle customer service duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and calling customers to update them on repair status or to follow up after repairs.
- Review appointment schedule to plan travel time and visit duration for mobile services.
- Provide support at Service Center based on demand.
- Travel within the assigned territory and other service locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2–5 years of experience as an automotive service technician.
- Self‑sufficient, highly organized, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of High Voltage, Low Voltage, and Electric Vehicle powertrain systems.
- Customer‑facing experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn proprietary DMS software.
- EPA 609 Certification.
- Willingness to complete Lucid‑provided CPR training after hire.
- Valid driver’s license with no suspensions within the past year. Drivers under 21 must have held a driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years and complete Lucid training upon hire.
- ASE Certifications (A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, L3, L4 – ADAS).
- Previous Mobile Service Technician experience.
- Experience with EV diagnosis and repair.
- Experience in luxury automobile repair environments.
Base Pay Range (hourly): $31 – $43 USD.
