Job Summary:
Busek Co. Inc. is a pioneering engineering firm developing cutting-edge space propulsion and spacecraft technologies. They are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to support documentation needs across multiple engineering groups, creating and maintaining technical content that communicates complex designs and procedures with clarity and precision.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with engineers to create, revise, and maintain a variety of technical documents, including:
• Test plans and procedures
• Assembly and operations manuals
• Engineering specifications and datasheets
• Verification and validation documentation
• Internal knowledgebase articles
• Support the development of customer- and compliance-ready documentation for a wide range of propulsion systems and spacecraft subsystems.
• Ensure consistent documentation standards, version control, and clear traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
• Update and maintain documents based on test results, design changes, or customer feedback.
• Participate in design reviews and test readiness reviews to capture and communicate key decisions and actions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in an engineering or aerospace environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering terminology, schematics, and system designs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document formatting tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat).
• Experience with document management systems and configuration control processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Preferred:
• Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Exposure to technical hardware environments (e.g., cleanroom protocols, precision assemblies, pressure systems, or test labs).
• Knowledge of government standards (e.g., NASA-STD, MIL-STD, AS9100) for technical documentation.
• Familiarity with CAD software or image markup tools for diagrams and schematics (e.g., Solid Works Composer or Visio).
