• Perform outstanding technical work for clients, including:
  • National, state, and local fire and building code reviews
  • Analysis of active and passive fire protection systems
  • Laboratory experimental design, construction, and coordination of testing
  • Fire and explosion investigations, including hands‑on field experience
• Work in teams on complex interdisciplinary problems, often with tight deadlines
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with experts in other technical disciplines
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities
• Project manage and build client relationships
• Prepare proposals and technical reports, and present findings to clients

• M.S., M.Eng., M.E., or Ph.D. in Fire Protection Engineering
• Presently legally authorized to work in the United States (no immigration sponsorship or processing required)
• Professional Engineering License (PE) strongly preferred
• Strong technical background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and combustion
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in Fire Protection Engineering
• Business development experience with a proven track record and ability to attract new and/or repeat clients or funding
• Demonstrated leadership skills, proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment, and strong mentorship skills with technical staff
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Strong desire and ability to tackle a wide variety of problems within and outside direct area of expertise
• Prior experience with prescriptive and/or performance‑based analysis and application of codes and standards (NFPA, ICC, ASTM, UL, etc.)
• Hands‑on experience in fire protection system design, installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance preferred

Base salary, annual bonus, and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary at the Manager level and above. The base salary range for this position is dependent on experience and capabilities and will be assessed during the interview process.
