Senior Manager, Structural Engineering (Ph.D.)

Posted Salary Range: USD $165,000 – $220,000 per year

• Cultivating and expanding strategic client relationships by identifying new business opportunities, securing engagements aligned with emerging needs, and consistently delivering high‑quality work.
• Inspection, analysis, and determination of root causes of structural/building envelope performance failures.
• Conducting projects and supervising others in analytical and computer problem solving.
• Leading field investigations and diagnostic surveys.
• Preparing and presenting technical reports and complex engineering assessments.
• Continued professional development to maintain professional expertise.
• Providing expert testimony where appropriate.

• Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant business development experience with a proven track record.
• Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Massachusetts.
• Structural Engineer (SE) License is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to attract projects and develop a motivated team of professionals.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical engineering and project management post‑graduation.
• Outstanding professional reputation with an existing client base.
• Experience providing expert testimony in dispute resolution settings.
• Significant experience in construction claims, dispute resolution, and litigation services.
• Experience drafting, reviewing analysis, reports, and presentations.
• Effective leadership skills with the ability to positively interact with professionals, technical staff, and administrative staff.
• Outstanding professional reputation and a record of publications.
• Strong client base in similar market areas.
• A dedication to quality and accuracy.

Base salary range for this position is aligned with experience and capabilities and will be assessed during the interview process. Total compensation may include a base salary, annual bonus, and a 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.
