Learn More: We are seeking an experienced manager for Customer Data and Architecture to lead our Customer Data Systems Team. This individual will lead strategic initiatives to define and implement the enterprise-wide customer data architecture vision.
This role is accountable for driving data governance, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, and optimizing customer data platforms to support business growth. The position requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels. - Define and maintain the target state architecture for customer data systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the technology roadmap.
- Implement a Customer Data Governance strategy that includes clear data ownership models, an enterprise-wide data catalog, architecture best practices, and data retention policies to ensure compliance, data quality, and risk minimization.
- Ensure adherence to privacy and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) through actionable policies and monitoring processes.
- Drive rationalization of customer data platform initiatives to optimize cost, performance, and scalability.
- Evaluate and recommend modern data technologies and tools.
- Communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively, enabling informed decision-making.
- Participate as a member of the Business Applications Leadership team, promoting best practices and department strategy.
- Lead and mentor the Customer Data Systems team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Manage performance reviews and professional development.
- Manage the project portfolio, resource allocation, budget, and project delivery.
- A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required. 2 years management experience is required.
- 20+ years in data management, architecture, and governance.
- Strong knowledge of data architecture principles, data modeling, and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms (cloud-based solutions, data lakes, data warehouses).
- Excellent people management and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and drive changes across cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Data Catalog tools, Data Governance frameworks, and Privacy compliance.
- Knowledge of microservices frameworks that facilitate scalable and secure customer data access.
- Knowledge of Customer Data Platforms (CDP) and Master Data Management (MDM).
